A Message of Hope

Christmas is here, So what?
Shopping malls are filled with shoppers,
What financial crisis?
I still see much suffering all around,
Is there hope?

More than 2,000 years ago,
A man came, suffered, and died.
But he left a simple message,
That we love one another.
Did you hear that?

We hear that message many times over.
Yet we go on living and stealing.
We live a comfortable life as if we live alone.
We still do not care that all around us
People are dying...

If only

if only I have more time
if only I have more money
if only I have more talent
if only I can talk to God

if only the sun shines during the day and rains fall during the night
if only hurricanes does not occur
if only there is no flood, earthquake, and landslide
if only there is good weather, always

if only there is no corruption in government
if only there aren't holduppers, kidnappers, terrorists
if only there is no cancer, AIDS, pneumonia
if only there is no hatred, discrimination, bigotry

if only alibis were not invented
if only fantasy is made real
"if only" will just fade away
I will live with what is, pimples, humps and all

Wiser Use of Free Time

Now I have decided to join the blogging mania. Aside from having an online diary, I will have something to do with my free time. Instead of lazily spending hours surfing the net, i might just as well share my thoughts and feelings on the web.

Of course there are many things to write about. Aside from sharing my personal life, I will also tell my comments about the current issues of the day especially on the political, economic, and well, entertainment field which is commonly called showbiz.

I do not claim any sort of intellectual prowess or any superior insight, not even superb writing skills. I just want to have something to while away my free time. Yet if, with this blog, I will be able to contribute something for the betterment of this planet, then it will be a bonus for me.
